Ph.D. from Texas A & M.
Dr. Newman completed his B.S. in Agriculture and his M.Ed. at
Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas. He completed his
Ph.D. in Plant Pathology at Texas A&M University, College Station
Texas. Following this, he worked on a Postdoctoral Fellowship on
wheat virus diseases for one year at Kansas State University in
Manhattan, Kansas.

Professional Interest: Diseases of field crops (soybeans,
cotton, corn, sorghum, wheat, and small grains).
