'Kay's Appalachian Mist' is a white flowering dogwood with creamy bracts that have reddish-purple clefts. The bracts are stiff and overlap. Flower petal color is yellow. The tree blooms at an early age. Berry color is red. ‘Karen’s Appalachian Mist’ is very resistant to powdery mildew.
